Welcome to The Modern Conservatory of Music! By joining the school, the student (or legal guardian) agrees to the following conditions:
- In the event that a conflict arises in the teacher’s schedule, or should the teacher have to cancel, the teacher and the student will find a mutually agreeable time to conduct a make-up lesson.
- Should a student become ill or, in the case of some unforeseen circumstance, the student may cancel a lesson by giving notice at least 24 hours in advance of the cancellation.
- We encourage you not to miss your lesson without giving advanced notice. Please understand that, often times, there are other students who may wish to occupy your chosen time slot. Because your payment secures a specific time slot, we hope you understand that a teacher is not required to make up missed time when advanced notice is not given.
- The same is true of lateness- please inform The Modern Conservatory of Music. Unfortunately, if it is no fault of the teacher, extending the lesson cannot be expected. Please keep in mind that it is unfair to other students as well as the teacher to alter the schedule.
- 2 weeks notice must be given should the student take a vacation. Make-up lessons will be accommodated based on the availability of the teacher.
- 4 weeks written notice must be given should the student wish to terminate his/her lessons and discontinue as a client of the Huronia Arts Academy.
- Payments are based on a 4-week month, over 10 months (September to June).
- Each student will be guaranteed 40 lessons in total, unless your lessons are scheduled on a Monday, for a total of 36 lessons with a reduced monthly payment.
- Students are eagerly encouraged to play in recitals, string ensembles and prepare for R.C.M. exams.. The Modern Conservatory of Music is more than happy to support you!
